"Tent City" built to raise money for Haiti
Are you wondering how you can help Haiti? Centenary graduate Brittney Winn has partnered with Centenary and First Methodist Shreveport in an effort to raise money for relief in Haiti. Winn, who was in Haiti during the time the earthquake hit, was "overwhelmed at how I slept in my bed while thousands, millions sleep on the chaotic, bloody, leveled streets of Haiti. The only place I wanted to be was sleeping outside with them." So we will be sleeping outside.…

Though they appear undersized against most teams, these Gents have played with ferocity. The Gents (6-11, 2-5 Summit) have clearly been busy this past month. They went 1-4 over the holiday break, losing to both SEC powerhouse teams, Mississippi State and Mississippi, then falling to conference foes North and South Dakota State.Open Mic Night succeedsNear the end of last semester, Alpha Psi Omega held a coffee night that was open to the campus. After being asked by multiple people if there could be performances at the next event, Alpha Psi Omega came to the agreement to have an open mic night, which Marjorie Lyons Playhouse hosted on January 18. |
